TurboJET’s dedication to nurturing maritime talent and promoting the sustainable development of the industry has been recognized with the prestigious "Learning & Development Award – Elite" at the 2025/26 HR Excellence Awards organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management.
As a long-standing cradle for maritime professionals, TurboJET established its independent and sustainable internal training system – the “Cadet Program” – in 2008. To this day, TurboJET remains the only private enterprise offering a systematic training program specifically for maritime talent in cross-border passenger vessels. The program provides a well-defined promotion ladder and comprehensive on-the-job training, offering trainees a clear career path to climb the ranks.
In recent years, TurboJET has also partnered with the Hong Kong Sea School to launch the “Junior Crew Program,” providing internship and hands-on industry experience for students aspiring to enter the maritime sector.
TurboJET’s “Cadet Program” has nurtured a remarkable pool of maritime professionals, including 94 night navigators, 70 chief officers, and 25 masters.
